Art Expressions by Loopy

Dr. Tammy Judkins

Art has always been a constant in my life. It’s a quiet passion that lived alongside my career as a middle school math teacher. After retiring in 2025, I finally gave myself permission to fully embrace painting, not just a hobby, but as my next chapter. Creating art now feels both familiar and thrillingly new, like returning home to a place that has waited patiently for me.

I am an abstract artist, painting brightly colored, repetitive geometric shapes. Sometimes, the shapes create representative still lifes and landscapes. My work explores themes of transformation, community, and memory. I’m often drawn to the stories embedded in everyday objects and landscapes. I strive to create simplicity out of complexity and focus on the beauty of color and shape.

As I continue to grow as an artist, I remain grounded in curiosity, open-hearted expression, and a deep respect for the power of visual storytelling. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where the canvas takes me next.
